I am a graduate student in Electrical Engineering at the University of Washington. In Klavins Lab, I am currently working with Prof. Eric Klavins in synthetic biology. I received my B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from National Taiwan University in 2014. I was an undergraduate research member in the Multimedia Processing and Communications Lab (MPAC) led by Prof. Homer H. Chen. I also worked in the Image and Vision Lab under the supervision of Prof. Yi-Ping Hung in the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering.

My research interest focuses on synthetic biology (gene counter, wetlab automation). My undergraduate research on "Music Recommendation System," which is based on artist novelty and similarity, helps users to find artists who are not yet famous and achieves good performance. You can find more information about my undergraduate research and projects in Projects.

My hometown is Kaohsiung, Taiwan. I grew up there and did not leave until I went to college. It is a city by the sea and has a lot of sunshine. You can see the beautiful dusk and have delicious seafood on the bay. The Pier-2 Art Center is another famous place where you can join art exibitions, creative markets, and music festivals. In addition, you can find a variety of foods here. We have various restaurants and night markets. It is really a good place!
